More NCR Printing Info

Personalised NCR pad printing from Banana Print is easy to order and whether you're looking at uploading your print ready artwork files or using our online designer with one of our templates it's just a couple of steps. We get asked a lot of questions about his product so below you will find some answers to the most common ones we get asked. But if you have a question we don't cover here use the online chat button to ask us directly.

What does NCR stand for?

NCR stands for No Carbon Required. The carbon refers to the original thick blue sheet you had to sandwich between regular sheets of paper to create the copy below.

What products would I use NCR printing for?

No Carbon Required (NCR) Pads can be used for anything and everything where you need duplicate copies of handwritten paperwork to give identical copies to your customers or other departments. Here are some of the most common uses (not in any particular order). Invoices, purchase orders, sales/cash receipts, credit notes, registration forms, receipt pads, time sheets, delivery notes, enquiry forms, accident forms, job sheets, expense forms, quotations sheets, credit hire agreement.

How do NCR pads work?

Well, this requires a very technical explanation and we cannot think of any better site to explain it than Wikipedia. You can open their page in a new window by clicking carbonless copy paper. If you don't have the time to head over to Wikipedia and want to know in a single sentence how they work here it is. Carbonless paper has a micro-encapsulated ink on the reverse side of the top sheet and a clay coating on the front side of the sheet below. With a 3 part set the middle sheet is coated like this on both sides.

Will I need to use that blue carbon sheet?

You will be pleased to know that the need for using that dark blue carbon sheet is over. We use special formulated sheets (NCR) which are coated on the appropriate sides to produce the same effect.

What do the different colours of the sheets mean?

The colour of each copy sheet doesn't mean anything. The top sheet will always be white but it's up to you what colour combination you choose for the duplicate sheets. The choices are yellow, pink and blue and can be glued in any order.

How many sets come on each glued duplicate pad?

Whether you choose duplicate or triplicate NCR copies each pad will always hold 50 sets. So if you ordered a 2 part NCR then each pad would have 100 sheets glued together and on the same basis a 3 part NCR would have 150 sheets per pad.

Are NCR pads messy to use?

Absolutely not! No ink or loose leaves as the pads are glued on one edge to keep all the sheets together but can still easily be separated for distribution once completed.

Are all the sheets printed in full colour?

To be as cost effective as possible and giving us the ability to produce cheap NCR pad printing we print full colour to the white sheet and black ink to the remaining colours in the set. If you would like full colour to all sheets please get in touch and we will provide a quote for you.

What can I do if I don't have my own artwork?

We offer ready made templates which can be changed or personalised to suit your own brand or you can start from scratch and just use our design studio to create your masterpiece. Alternatively if you lack that design flair (or confidence) we can design them for you. If you require a cost for us to design them please use the live chat button.

Which NCR size is the most popular?

The size of the pads you order will vary accordingly to the job you are using them for. We offer 4 sizes (A4, A5, A6, DL) although the most common size we print for our customers is A5 (1/2 of A4) which has a finished size of 210x148mm.

Delivery Information

When Will I Receive My Order?

Your NCR pad order will be dispatched within 3 working days and then sent with a next day delivery courier. For example if you ordered before midnight on Monday your order would be printed and dispatched on Thursday and delivered on Friday.

How much is delivery?

So that we can keep our individual printing prices low but our delivery quality high, we charge £4.95 for each complete order to be delivered, we use a fully tracked 24hr delivery courier for this service. Some companies inflate the price of their products and then advertise "free delivery" where in reality, they include delivery in the price which means, you are paying delivery per carousel-item instead of per order.

What Happens With My Delivery If I Order With A Next Day Delivery Product?

When you order another printed product which has a 24hr dispatch this will be held back to be delivered with your NCR order. If you wish to have your 24hr product sooner please make 2 seperate orders.

NCR Pads Printing Feedback

The carbonless paper felt twice as thick as my previous supllier of ncr pads which gave a real quality feel to them.
